Theme: HAN BioCentre: Facilitating start-ups and partner in innovation
HAN BioCentre supports the development and innovation of products and businesses. Christien Lokman, Leading Lector in the technology and life sciences area, gives an overview of the research and business activities that are focused on the discovery, analysis and production of biomolecules (biodiscovery) for application in industries such as food and feed, pharmaceutics, agriculture and sustainable energy. Such as BasidioFactory, a start-up in enzyme production that will be presented by Elsa Berends. Marjolein Wildwater will inform us about C. elegans, a highly promising test system that could replace or at least reduceextensive testing in animals required in the development of new pharmaceutical drugs.
